"What are they, Grace?"
I figured you may ask that.
They are an extremely healthy chip made from a leafy green vegetable that we all like to call Kale, also known as Borecole. It is the sister to the cabbage, the broccoli and brussel sprouts. I know you all are probably thinking "Ew, omg I hate cabbage and brussel sprouts. This kale crap MUST be awful!"
But first let me explain some of the amazing benefits kale has to offer.
Not only is kale low in calories, have zero fat, high in fiber, high in iron AND is high in vitamin K - Kale is also filled with some very strong antioxidants. These antioxidants I speak of are called carotenoids and flavanoids. I'm sure your wondering why those are so important - well, these antioxidants help protect your body against various types of caner.
Personally, I love the taste of kale - but being an asthmatic I like the fact that it is an anti-inflammatory and will help fight against my asthma instead of with it.
Now try and tell me you don't want to give kale a try...
Lucky for you - today I am going to teach you a way to make the raw, leafy green into something purely delicious, into a form that everyone (and I mean everyone) will enjoy... a chip.
All you need is one head of kale
some olive oil
any kind of seasoning to taste!
Check out my video for a more detailed process on how to make these delicious treats!
